Board receives LCAP midyear report, approves school safety plans and Williams quarterly report

Assistant Superintendent Annette Blacklock gave an update on the 2024–25 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) midyear report, noting Education Code requirements for reporting and available expenditure and implementation data. She also presented Comprehensive School Safety Plans for Golden Oak, Redwood, Sequoia and Richland Junior High, which had been reviewed by their respective School Site Councils and were recommended for board approval. Blacklock reported that the Williams Settlement second-quarter report filed with Kern County Superintendent of Schools showed no complaints and included results from school visits for August and September. The board approved the LCAP informational item, the safety plans and the Williams report by unanimous votes.
