Board adopts conflict‑of‑interest code, updates organizational chart and county expulsion plan

Superintendent Rosa A. Romero advised the board that California's Fair Political Practices Act requires the district to consider updates to its conflict of interest policy at least every two years. The board approved Resolution No. 2024‑12 and directed staff to submit required forms to the county by Oct. 1, 2024. There were no changes to the existing code at this time.
The trustees also approved the district's Combined, Instructional, and Operational Administrative Supervisory Organizational Charts for 2024–25 to comply with Board Policy 4301, and approved the Kern County countywide plan for providing educational services to expelled students pursuant to Education Code §48926. Each item passed on a unanimous roll call vote (Ayes: 5).
