Dr. Morrison presented Sequoia Elementary’s vision for the school year to the board on Oct. 14, describing the Gather 'Round, Grow 'Round, Game 'Round approach.
Dr. Morrison said the plan includes teacher learning and observation, training for classroom instructional aides, and greater parent engagement through on-campus events intended to build trust between home and school. The school will also deploy a Connection Crew of 27 fifth- and sixth-graders to support younger students. The board received the presentation as an informational item and congratulated staff on planning; no formal action or budget authorization was taken at the meeting.
Trustees thanked Dr. Morrison for the presentation during the informational items portion of the agenda.
