Colfax School District seeks replacement levy, cites $251,000 state funding loss

Claassen told the council the LEA loss is approximately $251,000 and that inflation has also raised operating and supply costs. He listed programs the levy would support, including Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), choir, jazz band and the school play, and noted the district's levy would remain the fourth-lowest among comparable area schools.
Claassen encouraged residents to vote in support of the replacement levy to ensure continued funding for student activities. The council did not take any formal vote on the levy at the Jan. 20 meeting; members heard the presentation and received the information for community awareness.
