The Lake Arrowhead Community Services District Board of Directors unanimously adopted Resolution No. 2025‑01 on April 22, 2025, approving annual revisions to the District’s local guidelines for implementing the California Environmental Quality Act (Public Resources Code §21000 et seq.).
Engineering Manager Scott Schroder presented the recommended updates and told the Board staff’s intent is to keep the District’s CEQA procedures current with state guidance and to ensure predictable environmental review for upcoming projects. Schroder said staff recommended adoption at the April meeting, and the Board approved the resolution by roll‑call vote, 5‑0.
The change means the District’s CEQA manual and related project checklists will be updated to reflect the amendments. No public comment was received at the meeting and staff did not identify any substantive changes that would alter project approvals beyond administrative or procedural clarifications.
The Board’s action formally authorizes staff to use the amended guidelines in future project environmental reviews. The District indicated it will present project‑level CEQA determinations to the Board as required by law or by policy where staff lacks delegated authority.
