Board approves consent agenda; accepts two teacher resignations

Juliet Michele moved, and Angie Pena‑Smith supported, the consent agenda which included approval of the April 20, 2026 regular meeting minutes, the April 2026 treasurer’s report, the summary of bills for April 2026, and acceptance of the resignations of Cherie Schmidt (Kindergarten teacher, effective July 1, 2026) and Josie Poel (Second Grade teacher, effective June 30, 2026). The minutes record the motion as carried 7‑0.
The consent vote clears personnel and financial housekeeping items and allows the district to begin posting and filling vacancies for the upcoming school year; Superintendent Lombard noted several positions have been posted across the district.
