Ben Feinson, co-director of the Richmond Trail Running Club, presented a proposal for the Aliza Lapierre Fan Club Trail Race proposed for July 18, 2026. Organizers told the board they expect 25–30 runners on a route between Huntington and Carse Hills along Big Hollow Road and asked for the town’s support on signage and communications. The Selectboard asked that first responders be notified and that organizers follow up with the highway crew about any road work scheduled on the route.
The board also asked staff to check with Michelle regarding any known problem dogs on the trail and to ensure proper signage is placed so the event can conclude by about 8:30 a.m., as proposed. No permit was formally granted in the minutes; the board recorded the required follow-ups for safety and logistics prior to final approval.
