The Starksboro Selectboard approved minutes and routine warrants and took two insurance-related actions during its May 19 meeting at the Town Clerk’s office. Carin McCarthy moved to approve the 2026 Town Meeting minutes with clarifications; David Schmidt seconded and the motion passed.
During the same session the board accepted two quotes from Carter Insurance for builders-risk coverage after a motion by David Schmidt and a second from Tony Porter. The board also voted to opt into the Vermont League of Cities and Towns (VLCT) Dental Coverage under Benefit Plan #5; Tony Porter moved the measure, Carin McCarthy seconded, and the Selectboard voted to have the town pay the employee-only premium while permitting employees to enroll dependents at their own additional cost.
Board members approved accounts payable and payroll warrants in a separate motion made by Eric Cota and seconded by David Schmidt. The meeting record does not list individual roll-call votes for these motions; minutes state each motion "passed" or was "approved." Amanda Vincent, the town administrator, recorded the meeting as unapproved minutes.
