The Nutter Fort Fire Department reported that it was awarded a Firehouse Subs grant to purchase three thermal imaging cameras, the council’s minutes show. Fire Chief Jeremy Haddix noted the award during the fire chief’s report, and the minutes record that department member Brandon Martin wrote multiple grant applications on behalf of the department.
The minutes also state the department is participating in a regional FEMA grant submission to acquire radios. The council did not take formal action on the grants at the Jan. 14 meeting; the reports were presented as part of committee reports. The minutes do not list dollar amounts for either the Firehouse Subs or FEMA applications.
