Board selects ABSS Inc. for IT managed services at $10,200 monthly

The Lake Arrowhead Community Services District awarded its Internet Technology Managed Services contract to ABSS Inc., citing cybersecurity capabilities, competitive pricing and local support.
Finance Manager John O'Brien told the board the district issued an RFP in March, received 17 proposals, interviewed five finalists and ranked vendors via an evaluation matrix. ABSS Inc. was recommended based on its cybersecurity framework, references and local staff availability for emergency response. Bill Grandia, ABSS CEO, attended the meeting for the discussion.
The contract is priced at $10,200 per month, which O'Brien said includes $7,300 for core services plus standby and network management fees; he noted it compares favorably to the previous contract that cost about $14,000 per month. The board approved the award and authorized the General Manager to proceed.
