Field Operations Manager Nathan Porter presented the first reading of a proposed ordinance updating the District’s Cross-Connection Control Plan to comply with revised guidance from the State Water Resources Control Board. Porter said the District has maintained a compliant plan since 1987 and that the proposed changes are primarily terminology and implementation-procedure updates; staff estimated minimal financial impact beyond additional inspection time.
This was a first reading only; no vote was taken. The Board announced a 30-day public review and comment period and asked staff to accept and catalog public input before returning with a final ordinance for adoption.
