The Sutton Select Board voted to approve the 2025 contract between the Town’s listers and NEMRC. Joe Solinsky moved to approve the contract and Denis Royer seconded; the motion passed.
Minutes Clerk Mary Gray told the board the state will send a letter requesting a reappraisal because recent sales in Sutton suggest assessments are high. Gray said NEMRC is scheduling reappraisals through 2030. She estimated a reappraisal could cost about $75 per parcel if no new measurements are required, or up to about $120 per parcel if the state requires measuring every building; she also said the town may be able to pursue a statistical update if the state permits.
