Eliot board approves two land‑use decisions; forestry clearing under investigation

In other business, Planner Jeff Brubaker reported the Maine Forest Service concluded a recent clearing in the shoreland zone did not qualify as a forestry operation; the CEO prepared a Violation Letter and the applicant filed an appeal in Superior Court. The DEP is investigating possible environmental impacts. The Board noted those enforcement and legal processes are running independently of the Planning Board's land‑use review.
