The Eliot Planning Board scheduled a site walk for 3 p.m. on May 11 for 419 River Road to let members inspect shoreline conditions, riparian-line geometry and visual impacts before resuming the public hearing. Staff and at least one Board member noted that newer members had not previously seen the site and that a field visit would clarify depth, mudflat and marsh-edge conditions.
Planner Jeff Brubaker told the Board he would gather archival permit records and measure pier lengths for neighboring properties; the Board said municipal approval would still be conditioned on any DEP and Army Corps federal permits. The motion to defer the hearing (moved by Suzanne O'Connor, seconded by Carmela Braun) passed unanimously.
