Council awards two reconstruction projects to Awolf Construction; Council Member LeMone recuses

Pleasant Grove City Council awarded two roadway reconstruction and culinary waterline projects to Awolf Construction, LLC and authorized the Mayor to sign the Notice of Award. The projects include reconstruction on Windsong Drive/Crestwood Boulevard to 100 East with culinary waterline work, and Murdock Drive/960 East roadway reconstruction. Seven bids were received for the work and staff recommended award to Awolf Construction.
Council Member Cyd LeMone recused herself from the discussion and vote due to a familial/relationship connection to the owner of Awolf Construction; the minutes record that Council Members Dianna Andersen, Eric Jensen and Todd Williams voted Yes on the motion to award, moved by Council Member Todd Williams and seconded by Council Member Eric Jensen. Director Neal Winterton confirmed the projects were designed and budgeted prior to bidding.
