The Winner School District 59-2 Board of Education completed its annual reorganization at the July 13 meeting. Business Manager Laura Root administered the oath of office to newly seated members Corey Audiss and Rusty Blare (three-year terms). The board then elected Mike Calhoon as chairperson (motion nominated by Scott Meiners; recorded 5-0 with Calhoon abstaining during the vote) and Scott Meiners as vice-chairperson (nominated by Rusty Blare; recorded 5-0 with Meiners abstaining). Committee assignments for Buildings & Grounds, Finance, Curriculum & Personnel, Negotiations and the Calendar Committee were announced by the chair.
The reorganization items are procedural but set the board’s leadership and committee structure for the coming school year; the roster of committee members is included in the minutes.
