The Winner School District 59-2 Board of Education voted June 8 to offer a contract to Mandy Audiss for high school counselor and graduation advisor for the 2026-27 school year. The motion passed 5-0 with board member Corey Audiss recorded as abstaining.
In a separate motion carried 7-0, the board approved additional activity and advisor contracts for the 2026-27 school year: Macy Olson as competitive cheer coach, Bayli Beehler as football cheerleading advisor, Kari Heenan as junior class advisor, Ashley Duffy for middle school Reading Olympics and Tori Melius as OST director. The approvals were made as grouped agenda items under new business.
Board members who moved and seconded these actions were recorded in the minutes; Scott Meiners and Rusty Blare were among those participating in the motions. The meeting minutes note that these personnel actions were part of the amended agenda approved at the start of the meeting. The board did not record salary or contract-length details in the minutes for these positions.
The district’s superintendent, Stacy Halverson, reported openings elsewhere in the district during her superintendent report, including a 4th-grade position, the elementary music role and two aide positions.
