Vice-Chair Jeff Abbe had presented multiple name options — Perseverance Way, Ross’s Way, Newt Crossing, Conservation Crossing, Creaser’s Cutoff, Salamander Way and Gilmore Way — and the Commission discussed local fit and signage implications. Members noted that the owner of Ross Express preferred not to have his name used, which removed 'Ross’s Way' from consideration. The Commission directed staff and volunteers to update trail signage and the kiosk map to reflect the new name and to proceed with fabrication and placement.
The Commission recorded the motion and its unanimous outcome; next steps include finalizing sign text, updating the kiosk Walker Pond map, and completing GPS waypoints to support trail mapping.
