Harvey Cedars reports Green Acres grant, ReClam upwellers installed and approves Sunset Park event

In commissioner reports at the June 15 meeting, Commissioner Joseph F. Gieger announced that the borough had been awarded a $100,000 Green Acres grant. He said beach mats have been placed, ReClam the Bay upwellers have been installed in Sunset Park, and piling work for the borough museum will proceed.
During privilege of the floor resident Walter Naisby publicly thanked the Department of Public Works for assistance installing the ReClam upwellers. Separately, the Board approved a public-property request allowing the Strong Grounds Foundation to use Sunset Park on Thursday, Aug. 20 from 5–7 p.m. for a family fitness night expected to draw 50–100 people with music and vendors.
