Resident reports low-flying drone; MAC asks Supervisor's Office to check legality

During the public comment period, Deena Parry said she observed a drone about 30 feet above her home and traced it to a neighbor; when she asked the neighbor not to fly, she said he told her to "call the police." Parry asked what regulations apply to drone operation in neighborhoods, parks and open spaces.
MAC members suggested the Supervisor's Office determine the legal framework for low-altitude drone operation. Jane Nye said there may be rules for parks but was unsure about neighborhood flights; Michelle Santucci asked the Supervisor's Office to follow up. Meeting participants were directed to the Resource Management Agency website for additional information.
