The Pleasant Grove City Council unanimously appointed Chane Jensen as the city’s Chief Building Official on Jan. 21, 2025. City Administrator Scott Darrington told the council the appointment follows completion of an interview process and that Jensen recently obtained the certifications necessary for the role.
Council Member Eric Jensen moved to appoint Chane Jensen to the position and Council Member Steve Rogers seconded the motion. "The motion carried unanimously with Council Members Andersen, Rogers, Jensen, and LeMone voting 'Yes'." Mr. Jensen was then sworn in at the meeting. The appointment completes a hiring effort that earlier had failed to fill the position and promotes an internal candidate who has served as Building Inspector for over a year.
