Harvey Cedars approves $649,278 NJDOT roadway preservation grant application

Harvey Cedars commissioners voted June 15 to authorize submission of a New Jersey Department of Transportation SFY 2027 Roadway Preservation grant application for $649,278. The resolution identifies the project (MA-2027-Roadway Preservation Project) and lists E. 86th from Long Beach Boulevard to the easterly street end; Compass Street from 78th Street to 80th Street; and West 78th Street from Long Beach Boulevard to the westerly street end as the target sections.
The resolution authorizes the Mayor, Municipal Clerk and Borough Engineer to submit the electronic application and authorizes the Mayor and Clerk to sign the grant agreement if the award is made. The motion to adopt was moved by Commissioner Paul G. Rice and seconded by Commissioner Joseph F. Gieger; recorded votes show the mayor and both commissioners voting in the affirmative.
