Harvey Cedars officials opened a public hearing June 15 on a proposed 20-year, full-service and asset-management agreement with USG Water Solutions for the borough’s water storage vessel. Borough attorney Tennant Magee presented the documents and said the request for proposals recognizes existing cell-tower leases on the tower.
Magee told residents that the RFP requires existing cell-tower leaseholders to "remove any equipment, with no cost to the borough, prior to tower maintenance." He also explained that "the largest amount of maintenance will be done in the beginning of the contract," which the borough said accounts for early capital and rehabilitation work. Commissioners opened and closed the public comment period during the hearing; no formal vote to award the contract was recorded at the special meeting.
