The Calipatria Unified School District Board of Trustees met in a special called session Aug. 14, 2025. The meeting was called to order at 5:32 p.m.; Trustees Patty Dockstader, Diego Navarro, Raul Navarro and Brittany Saiza were present, and Trustees Michael Fong, Frank Perez and Holly Widmann were absent. A quorum was established.
Two items were on the agenda and both were approved by roll-call vote, 4–0: (1) approval of the BYMS elective course description and syllabus (Digital Strategy and Leadership, Grades 7–8) and (2) adoption of a resolution under Education Code 44263 permitting teachers to teach outside their credential authorization for 2025–26 (minutes list Raul Cortez as assigned to the BYMS elective). Trustee Raul Navarro moved to adjourn; Trustee Patty Dockstader seconded. The meeting adjourned at 5:34 p.m.
