At its Aug. 11 meeting the Calipatria Unified Board accepted for second reading and adopted a broad set of revised board policies and administrative regulations covering complaints, records access, contracts, safety, nondiscrimination and student personnel matters.
Trustees directed staff to implement chosen options for several items: they selected Option 1 for Board Policy 5131.8 (mobile communication devices), Option 2 for BP/AR 0450 (Comprehensive Safety Plan), Option 2 for BP/AR 1113 (District and School Websites), and Option 1 for BP 1312.3 (Uniform Complaint Procedures). The board also voted to remove Bylaw 9150 (Student Board Members) from the adopted packet.
The packet included updates addressing Title IX complaint procedures and a new policy on Artificial Intelligence. Trustees adopted the packet by roll call vote of 7 ayes. The adopted documents are available in the Superintendent’s Office and posted on the district webpage per staff instructions.
