Trustees approve Triad Security contract for two Calipatria campuses

During discussion Trustee Raul Navarro asked whether the district could convert the role into a classified position; Oscar Garcia, speaking for CSEA, said there is interest in pursuing that change “maybe next year.” The board did not take further action on staffing conversion at this meeting. The motion to approve the Triad Security quote passed by roll call vote of 7 ayes.
The contract terms (cost, hours, start date) were included in the staff reference materials but were not read into the public record during discussion. Trustees instructed staff to proceed with the vendor for the coming year.
