Calipatria Unified Board approves 2024–27 LCAP and 2025–26 ESSA plan

The Calipatria Unified School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously on July 14 to approve the 2024–27 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and the Local Control and Accountability Plan/ESSA 2025–26 documents. Trustee Frank Perez moved to approve the LCAP after a brief discussion in which Assistant Superintendent Dr. Liliann Patterson reported that the Imperial County Office of Education recommended removing the methodology section only; she confirmed there were no required changes to goals, challenge identification, or the budget outline.
Board members were given access to the full LCAP and ESSA documents on the district website and in the Superintendent's Office. The motions for both items passed by a roll-call vote of 7 ayes; the record shows approval of the district's plans without further revisions requested by ICOE.
