At the June 23 meeting, the board adopted Multitudes as the district's K'0 Reading Difficulties Risk Screener, meeting the screening requirement under Senate Bill 114.
The adoption covers screening for reading difficulties and dyslexia for K'0 students. The board voted to adopt the tool in a 7'200 roll call vote. Trustees also approved the 2025'26 School Plan for Student Achievement for Fremont Primary and Bill E. Young Jr. Middle School in a related set of instructional approvals.
District staff will implement the screening as part of the coming school year's assessment schedule and will coordinate results with instructional interventions identified in the LCAP.
