The Calipatria Unified School District Board voted June 23 to adopt the 2025'26 Budget, approve the 2024'25 Estimated Actual Expenditures and adopt a resolution regarding the Education Protection Account (EPA).
CBO Rosa Medina presented the Estimated Actual Expenditures and explained the EPA is a minimum state guarantee that contributes to the district's LCFF entitlement. Trustee Raul Navarro asked whether EPA funds are directed to salaries; Medina clarified EPA constitutes part of the district's LCFF funding. The board adopted the EPA resolution and approved both the estimated actuals and the 2025'26 budget by roll call votes (each motion passed by 7 ayes).
Trustees were told the full budget and related summaries are available in the Superintendent's Office and on the district website. The board also approved administrative documents that tie budget allocations to the district's LCAP goals.
