Trustee Raul Navarro asked the board April 1 to present the duties of the Resource Teacher position, report how many students are being served, and assess whether the 2020 baseline should be used to determine the position’s ongoing need.
“Trustee R. Navarro asked for us to present the duties of Resource Teacher, and if that position will be needed moving forward, he'd like to know how many students are being serviced and if 2020 was the baseline, is this position needed?” the minutes state. Trustee Michael Fong also requested that staff outline the administrators’ process for hiring staff to work in ASES (After School Education and Safety) and ELOP (Expanded Learning Opportunities Program). Trustees asked that these details be made available at the district’s April meeting.
The requests were recorded under Board Discussion and will return as agenda items; the minutes do not record accompanying documents or enrollment counts. The board adjourned at 5:48 p.m.
