The Kingsbury County Board on Feb. 17, 2026 approved the purchase of seven poll‑pads from KnowInk, LLC for $21,310. County Auditor Echo Steffensen told the board the county has Help America Vote Act (HAVA) funds available from the state that may be used to purchase the devices. The motion to approve the purchase was made by Walls and seconded by Nelson; all present voted aye.
Steffensen also presented and won board approval to purchase a laptop for absentee voting for $800. Additionally, the board approved the 2026 SDACC/NaCo dues invoice for $2,341 and authorized Vice‑Chairman Corey Lundquist to sign it. The approvals were recorded as unanimous votes with motions and seconds noted in the minutes.
