Highway superintendent reports new truck arrival and ongoing planning for 425th Avenue

Dave Sorenson, Kingsbury County Highway Superintendent, briefed the commissioners on Jan. 20 that a new highway truck is expected to arrive in February and that he is assessing purchase options for snow equipment to outfit the vehicle.
Sorenson also reported he has been in contact with Redstone Dairy and Civil Design about plans for 425th Avenue, and the board noted the procurement and bid schedule presented later by Civil Design. Sorenson requested an executive session to discuss personnel, which the board granted; no equipment purchases were approved at this meeting.
The highway office will continue coordination on final plans and equipment selection and will return to the board if and when procurement is required.
