Mayor Donna Weber told the Board the library will coordinate distribution of free meal boxes for children 18 and under beginning June 8, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Fire Station, continuing a similar program from the prior year. "The library will again coordinate distribution of free meal boxes for Children 18 and under beginning June 8, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Fire Station," Weber said.
Town Administrator Jeff Wilbourn reported the Town plans to mow cemetery areas before Memorial Day and discussed maintenance at the Town lake. Wilbourn said he has used his personal tractor and equipment for mowing in past years and estimated mowing the lake with larger equipment would cost about $1,000 and take about six hours. He asked the Board whether that work should be handled as contracted work or under his regular hourly pay; a member of the public suggested opening the work to bids for transparency. Wilbourn said the anticipated cost did not meet the formal bidding threshold but requested direction before performing the work.
