The Broken Bow City Council approved a request to temporarily close portions of downtown streets on Friday, July 24, 2026, for the Custer County Tractor Drive. The approved closure covers South D Street between South 8th and South 9th Avenue and South 8th Avenue between South D Street and South E Street from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m.
Organizer Matthew Denson described the route and noted that "16 tractors are currently confirmed," with additional participants expected. The council voted unanimously to permit the event, and the mayor thanked organizers for planning a route that will pass local nursing homes and assisted-living facilities.
