Board approves $2,500 TIF-funded sidewalk repair outside Kicking It Back at 522 Gould Street

The Village of Beecher approved using funds to repair Village-owned sidewalk outside the business Kicking It Back at 522 Gould Street. Trustee Weissbohn moved to pay $2,500 for the repair and Trustee Kraus seconded; the motion carried with six votes in favor.
President Meyer said she had spoken with Pete Iosue of Teska Associates and was advised that TIF funds could be used for the sidewalk repair. The meeting minutes indicate that the area from the edge of an installed handicap ramp to the street is Village property and is in need of repair; the south end of the building will be striped out when a street-striping company is scheduled to be in town.
