City Administrator Weasner told the council that the City of Park Rapids will host a free 250th Anniversary Community Picnic at Depot Park following the July 4 parade, beginning at 2 p.m. The event is open to the public; attendees are asked to bring a non-alcoholic beverage and a lawn chair or blanket. "It should be a good, wholesome day for people to get to know your community again," Weasner said.
Weasner outlined planned activities including three-legged races, sack races, and a frisbee toss. He added that everyone in attendance will receive a 250th Anniversary frisbee while supplies last and encouraged residents to consult the Chamber's flyer for additional events on the holiday.
