Mayor urges moving special-assessment policy to top of council priorities

Mayor Pat Mikesh told the council he wanted to move the special-assessment policy to the top of the list of tasks to be addressed. Councilmember Little said the council intends to hold a work session on special assessments in August or September; Administrator Weasner said she would like to have the special-assessment policy updated by the end of the year if possible.
The council did not adopt a new policy at the June 23 session but scheduled further discussion and planning. Staff were tasked with bringing the item forward for the planned work session and with drafting an updated policy for council consideration (SEG 002).
