The district reported the current bid stands at $475,000. Trustees approved the award; recorded votes were AYES from Jacalyn Witzel and Bill Walker and the absence of David Gisler. Board materials noted the selected contractor has HVAC specialization even though the current award covers electrical infrastructure.
Separately, the planned bus barn expansion to add additional parking space (under 5,000 square feet) was discussed but tabled for further review and will return to the board in a future meeting.
Staff indicated DKJ is the design partner on the facility upgrades and that several site improvements—relocating Seatrain containers and installing new fencing by the primary-grade playground—have been completed as part of the project staging.
