District to seek quote for Raptor visitor-management system after positive parent feedback on cameras

Superintendent/Principal Caron Borba and Director of Pupil Services Daniel Chand reported that parents at the Dec. 10 ELAC meeting praised the new camera and recent campus updates. Based on that feedback and interest expressed by staff, the district will obtain a quote from Raptor for a visitor-management system that scans identification, performs background checks, and prints visitor badges; the county has already implemented the system, and other districts are doing likewise.
The board agreed unanimously to proceed with obtaining a quote from Raptor. The discussion focused on enhancing campus safety measures; no contract award was made at the meeting — board action was limited to authorizing staff to get a quote.
