The Silver Creek Township Planning & Zoning board convened Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025. Chairman Chris Klein called the meeting to order; the clerk recorded attendance including nine members and six guests. The board unanimously approved the meeting agenda and the Oct. 1, 2024 minutes.
In his chair report, Klein said the Big Rigs project “passed on the county level with a turnaround included in the plans,” noting the turnaround will be at the first (west) Big Rigs entrance. The board then considered development applications: it approved a variance requested by Zeigler Custom Homes for a deck within the Locke Lake setback (vote recorded 8-0 with Member Mark Egge abstaining) and approved two lot-line adjustments for Darryle Anderson — transferring one building entitlement from PID #216100264100 to PID #216100261403 and transferring the southwest portion of PID #216100252300 to PID #216100264100 (both motions carried 9-0).
Motions were made and seconded by board members on the record: Mike Helman moved to approve the agenda; Brandon Geyen seconded. Justin Hall moved to approve the prior minutes; Tom Vanek seconded. The meeting adjourned following a final motion by Hall and second by Vanek. No follow-up hearings or other next steps were recorded in the minutes.
