Charlie Krebs reviewed the Tier 1 and Tier 2 traffic-calming strategies from the draft Traffic Calming Assessment 2025 and noted recommended education and engineering measures across the community. He said Mr. Conway had started education-based road, bike and golf-cart safety measures and that three permanent and one mobile speed radar signs would be delivered the first week in February.
Board members asked Krebs to update Page 9 of the report to include the Traffic Study conclusion and to advise him or Chair Schultz of any additional areas to consider. The board also discussed signage options, including installing 'Do not pass golf cart' signs at the front entrance and crosswalks, and noted Pelican Sound's board was considering bylaw changes to its traffic violation terms.
