Board appoints Keith Merrill to fill vacant Seat 1; oath administered

The River Ridge Community Development District on Oct. 22 appointed Keith Merrill to fill the unexpired term of Seat 1, which expires in November 2026. Chair Bob Schultz nominated Mr. Merrill; on a motion by Mr. Schultz and seconded by Mr. Twombly, the Board approved the appointment "with all in favor." Mr. Schultz thanked Kevin Ofenloch for his willingness to serve.
Mrs. Adams, a notary, administered the Oath of Office to Mr. Merrill. District Counsel Tony Pires and Mrs. Adams reviewed required materials for serving on a CDD board, including the Sunshine Amendment and Code of Ethics for Public Officers, Form 1 instructions, and Form 8B (memorandum of voting conflict). They discussed public-records obligations and cautioned about use of CDD email and "reply all" practices for multi-member communications.
