The Village of Beecher Board of Trustees approved multiple construction-related items for the new Public Safety Facility at its April 28 meeting. Trustees voted to award bid package 18 for fencing to Classic Fence, Inc. in the amount of $67,540 to install fencing at the facility.
The Board also approved a change order from Indicom Electric not to exceed $12,400 to install low-voltage conduit required for the fence gate operators. Because the current Builder's Risk insurance policy expires May 1 and move-in is now expected in late May, the Board approved a one-month extension of the Builder's Risk policy in an amount not to exceed $1,500.
Trustee Diachenko moved the fencing award and Trustee Kraus seconded; the motions carried unanimously. The approvals clear remaining site and systems work ahead of the expected late-May move-in date.
