The board approved the consent agenda covering the February 24, 2024 meeting minutes and vendor/encumbrance/payments for Funds 11 (General Fund), 21 (Building Fund) and 60 (Activity Fund) for Feb. 1–28, 2025. Susan Agel moved to approve the consent agenda; Vicky Primeaux seconded. The motion passed 4-0 (Agel, Brooks-Jimenez, Green, Primeaux).
Across the agenda the board took the following formal actions, each approved by 4-0 votes: adoption of the Student & Parent Technology Device Agreement; updated board policies to meet accreditation requirements; a Student Immunizations Policy; a policy on physical restraint of students; a Corporal Punishment Policy; an Out of School Suspension Policy; a Student Pickup Policy; the Chase Morris Sudden Cardiac Arrest AED Safety Plan for elementary sites; amendments to the Parent Bill of Rights for accreditation; edits to the Lottery and Application Process to match the Student Handbook; approval of the Employee New Hire Report (Feb. 21–Mar. 20, 2025); and approval of the Employee Resignation/Termination Report (Feb. 21–Mar. 20, 2025).
The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m. after the final motion to adjourn, moved by Susan Agel and seconded by Vicky Primeaux; the motion passed 4-0.
