Loami trustees set side-street speed limit at 25 mph, discuss mirrors and Mill Street repairs

Trustees determined that the speed limit for side streets in the Village of Loami is 25 mph and discussed signage needs. The board agreed four signs reading "Speed limit is 25 MPH unless otherwise posted" and additional signs with "Speed limit 25 MPH" will be needed to implement the change.
Trustee Aaron Pippin reported a fisheye mirror was installed by Dugan’s and requested two more—one for the Fire Department and one spare. He also raised concerns about Mill Street, noting potholes and drainage problems; trustees discussed tile work and building up the culvert so a creek can run under as possible remedies. Public Works Superintendent Kyle Langenfeld indicated tile work will be necessary.
