Loami police report flags squad-car repairs, speeding stops and possible staffing grant

Chief of Police Stan Workman told the board the patrol squad car "is back at Morrow Brothers" for repairs after more than a year of service and said if the vehicle is not repaired this time the village should send a letter to the vendor. He also said Lieutenant Dillon will take the speed trailer to the company in the next few weeks and reported several speeding stops in January 2025.
Workman said he believes the village will soon need a full-time police officer and identified a grant for small municipalities "that will pay police officers salaries for ten (10) years." Mayor Lambert asked that Workman add a breakdown of resident vs. non-resident incidents to the monthly police report; Workman submitted the police report to the board (on file with the clerk).
