Trustee Rose Mann reported that she spoke with a contractor (Frank Lesko) after the July meeting about a large hole in the ditch on Main Street; a few days later the hole was fixed. Trustee Greg Patterson said the county road-fix process for Loami/Bates Road requires getting on the Sangamon County board agenda and Mayor Steven Lambert asked Trustee Todd Lawson to draft a letter to Sangamon County Highway.
Trustee Stephen Grider reported two shutoffs for July and said pump house issues in the water/sewer system have been resolved. Chief Stan Workman provided photos of overgrown properties to Clerk Carissa Grider; the clerk will issue ordinance-violation letters to property owners. Chief Workman also recorded that the police department was "normal for the month of July" and filed the police report with the clerk.
