Board updates FMLA policy, approves multiple hires and accepts resignations
Summary

The board approved an updated district Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) policy after a motion by Dr. Ed Frick, seconded by Susan Agel; the motion passed 5-0.
Board members then approved an Employee New Hire Report covering positions filled between July 1 and Aug. 12, 2025, including a Grants Manager—Federal Programs, middle school social studies/writing teacher, multiple lay coaches, paraprofessionals for ELL and SPED, an elementary art teacher, student advocate, high school math teacher and administrative assistant—site. Susan Agel moved to approve the new hires; Dr. Ed Frick seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
The board also approved an Employee Resignation/Termination Report listing departures across roles (kindergarten teacher, cafeteria workers, paraprofessionals, MS reading teachers, SPED teacher, administrative assistant). Tyler Green moved to approve the resignation/termination report and Ericka Flores seconded; the motion passed 5-0.
