Treasurer Michelle Longville told the Board of Equalization that Kingsbury County received 107 applications for the senior/disabled property tax freeze for 2026; of those, 98 qualified, 7 were denied and 2 were pending. The board approved the qualifying applications on a motion by Commissioner Troy Nelson, seconded by Commissioner Corey Lundquist; all present voted aye.
The Board granted the Treasurer an extension until Friday, April 17, 2026, to complete processing of the two pending applications. The minutes note that any applications not received by that date but which would otherwise qualify would need to be abated in January of the next year.
