After a second round of bids the board identified Michie Corp. Concrete Products as the preferred contractor but recorded that paperwork had not yet been signed. Ricky Morin moved that Melissa Whitcomb (Selectboard member; listed contact) sign the document on the town’s behalf; Clayton Whittemore (Selectboard member) seconded the motion, and the board agreed. The minutes note the purpose of the grant as stabilizing/shoring up footings and cleaning out the original bridge beneath the concrete deck.
The board’s next step is completing contract paperwork and following the amended grant scope to commission an engineering study before any major repair work proceeds. The record indicates the contract selection is chosen pending formal signature and that the town will pursue the engineering analysis defined in the amended grant.
